Woods: Bay Ridge has many easement-protected community properties, including the Herndon Avenue wooded area, the Lands of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF), and the Bay Ridge Commons. In March 2002, the Bay Ridge community completed the purchase of 110 acres of forests and beaches in the community.

Beachs: Bay Ridge has beachs that touch the Chesapeake Bay, the Severn River, Black Walnut Creek and Lake Ogleton. Some are host to various community events.
